These Community Guidelines explain what is allowed on OnestQR and what is not. They apply to everyone who creates QR codes, uploads assets, sets redirect destinations, or uses our dashboard and related services (collectively, the "Service").
These Guidelines supplement our Terms of Service. If your activity violates these Guidelines or our Terms, we may remove content, disable QR codes, suspend accounts, or terminate access.
1. Purpose
OnestQR is built for lawful business, marketing, education, and personal use of dynamic QR codes. We expect users to create codes that are safe, honest, and respectful of others. You are responsible for every QR code you create and every destination it points to.

- Uploading logos or design assets you own or have permission to use when customizing QR code appearance.
- Using scan analytics to understand how your own codes perform, in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
- Creating codes for clients or employers when you have the authority to do so and comply with these Guidelines.

- Automated creation of codes to evade limits, bypass security, or overload the Service.
- Reselling or sublicensing access to OnestQR except where explicitly permitted by your plan or a written agreement.
- Using the Service primarily to drive traffic to prohibited content hosted elsewhere.
4. Rules for uploads and QR customization
When you upload images or other files to customize QR codes, you must follow these rules:
- Only upload files you created or have a license to use.
- Do not upload files that contain malware or hidden executable content.
- Do not upload logos, trademarks, or brand assets to impersonate another company or person.
- Do not upload sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise prohibited imagery as described above.
- Keep file sizes and formats within any limits shown in the dashboard.
We may remove uploaded assets or reset QR designs that violate these rules.
5. Labels, analytics, and transparency
You must not mislabel QR codes in your dashboard or present analytics in a way that deceives others. If you collect data from people who scan your codes, you are responsible for telling them when required by law and for handling that data responsibly. See our Privacy Policy for how OnestQR handles data on the platform.
6. Guest, Member, and Pro accounts
These Guidelines apply equally to Guest accounts, registered Members, and Pro subscribers. Having a paid plan does not exempt you from these rules. You may not use multiple accounts to evade enforcement actions.
7. Enforcement
We review reports and may use automated tools to detect abuse. Depending on the severity and history of violations, we may:
- Remove or disable specific QR codes or uploaded files.
- Restrict features or rate limits on your account.
- Suspend or permanently terminate your account.
- Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities when required or permitted by law.
We are not obligated to provide advance notice before taking action when doing so could increase harm, preserve evidence, or comply with legal requirements. Decisions are made at our reasonable discretion.
8. Reporting violations
If you believe a QR code or account on OnestQR violates these Guidelines, contact us at [email protected] or through our contact page. Include the QR code URL, scan link, or account details when possible so we can investigate quickly.
Do not use reports to harass other users or to dispute legitimate business competition. False or abusive reports may result in action against your own account.
9. Changes to these Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as the Service evolves or as laws change. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Guidelines.
